about

"INSIDE REFLECTIONS" is a rework of my album "INSIDES" that was released on BelgianNeumusik in 2021: belgianneumusik.bandcamp.com/album/bnm039v-insides-modern-classical-modular-noise

INSIDE REFLECTIONS is a search for further intimite purification.

Here is a short note about the tracks:

Teared Apart: the more I play this piece, the more I play it more silent and quiet.

Closer (In Silence) is about a state of close unthreatening proximity, a state that vanishes from the first word uttered.

Softly Touching Ground is a minimalistic and repetitive composition in 5/4. In the storytelling, the timing and accents are more important that the notes themselves.

Staring into the Fire is a piece that I sometimes play over and over like a mantra, to disconnect from the world.

This version of Synapse Sync has more space and silence compared to the Insides version, and at the end the sky does not open with an uplifting arpeggio, it just gets dark.

Rewinding That Moment is based on a minimalistic piano phrase that is repeated as a mantra.

Between Fallen and Failing Angels has soft layers of bugles played by Luc van Lieshout.

Between Floating and Falling is based on the bare essence of Between Fallen and Failing Angels.

Skin to Skin (Walhalla mix) is about an endless search for careless shelter.

Don’t Say Anything starts with a phrase on bugle by Luc van Lieshout. The bugle evolves into a cloud on which everything floats.

about

Silent Noise Revolution Opwijk, Belgium

Silent Noise Revolution is about minimal piano on a bed of modular noise. Jan De Block (Belgium) has a passion for piano and sound design. For years, he considered both passions as different worlds.
In 2015 he started to combine fragile piano with a modular synthesizer, and Silent Noise Revolution was born.
